Marigold flowers are everywhere in Oaxaca leading up to date of the dead. Every offrenda, doorway and even clothes are adorned with the beautiful yellow flowers known to guide their ancestors back home for a short time.
This ancestral espadin mezcal celebrates the familiar smell and taste of these flowers. With the limited runs of this mezcal produced in Oaxaca, my Oaxaca friends occasionally message me to see if my recent order is the reason there isn’t any available for them to drink. However Ive rectified that situation by buying them occasional bottles to enjoy.
